The World Transplant Games 2025 took place from 17 to 24 August 2025 in Dresden, Germany.
Athletes and teams from 51 nations came together for a unique celebration of sport and life, a week of competition, camaraderie, conversation and celebration.

For the first time since this special day was established, buildings in Austria and South Tyrol were illuminated in green as a sign of solidarity.
Many thanks to the National Council, the Federal Chancellery, state governments, cities, municipalities and companies that helped to set an example.

For the first time, buildings were illu-minated “green” as a sign of solidarity on 7.6.25. We would like to thank them for their commitment and enthusiasm.
